Lockheed KC-130B Hercules of the Indonesian Air Force, intended to look as she looked in 2013, having received her new camouflage scheme. Manufactured in 1961 and exported to Indonesia during the same year, she was part of the second batch of C-130Bs delivered to the country, originally registered as T-1309. This aircraft was one of the two Indonesian C-130Bs that were converted to tankers. A-1309 is still on active service as of April 2023, with 32nd squadron.
Indonesia was one of the first export custromers of the C-130 Hercules, with the first examples arriving to the country as early as 1960. 22 new aircraft (10 C-130Bs among them) were acquired during the decades (the last of these being three C-130Hs in 1982), with three more second-hand C-130Bs in 1976, five L-100-30s acquired from civilian companies during the mid-to-late nineties, plus nine second-hand C-130Hs from Australia delivered from 2013 to 2016. Five C-130J Super Hercules transports were ordered in 2019; the first of them was delivered in March 2023.
