Liberty Class "Kory"
My father´s trip

Since I was a child I remember the stories of my father who was a merchant marine in Bilbao, in the north of Spain, for several years in his youth in the 60s. He told me, he is still alive (90 years old), that his ship was the Kory with the flag Panamanian shipping company Ramirez Escudero from Bilbao. What he hadn't told me was that it was an old Liberty bought after the Second World War who knows where and how and converted into a civilian merchant. As his 91st birthday approaches, it seemed like a good idea to give him that boat in which he enjoyed so much in his youth.
I have not been able to find information about the Kory, so I have based myself on my father's memories and have taken as a reference the restoration of Hellas Liberty, another museum ship in Piraeus in Greece.
