Tamiya Ferrari F50 1:24 kit + Hobby Design Photo-etched Parts. This is my first plastic model kit ever. There are plenty of mistakes, but I'm happy with the overall progress and skills I learnt along the way.

Peter this is an astonishing effort! I was SO sceptical when you embarked on this your first build with a plan to add detail to this level. You have done so much with so many different challenges I doffs me lid to yer. And to cut your first model in half to display that detail. I'm not sure I would even attempt that myself! Much encouragement from me and I look forward to seeing it displayed! Well done mate, well done!

Thank you Peter! I would never have done something like this if it weren't for my admiration of your builds and the encouragement I received from you, and for that I am greatly appreciative. There were some good and bad choices made along the way with this model, each with it's own lesson. This particular model was difficult for a first attempt at the hobby and there were times when I wondered if it would look better lodged forcefully into a wall, but persistence and the ensuing rewards that continued to come from doing it got me there in the end. This has been such an enjoyable and therapeutic hobby for me. I look forward to building more and more and increasing my skillset, as well as the bonding we will enjoy along the way.
