I don't understand how the 1969 Cougar and 1967 Cougar fit into the same timeline? They are verrryyyy different cars. This is very much NOT just a "change in trim parts" deal. For example, the unibody frames on the real thing accepted different engines in the 69-70 edition that wouldn't fit in the 67-68 body. Rex, serial Cougar owner back in the my hot rodding days.

I'm sure in this instance the "timeline" refers to when the kits were released

yes, I get that, that is what the timeline is for. But, shouldn't they be kits of the same subject in a timeline? I didn't look, but, I bet the '67 and '68 Fairlanes are in separate timelines on Scalemates, because those also were very different cars.

Ooops, well nevermind my post,,,,,,,,,I see that the Full Sized '56 Fairlane is on the same timeline as the '66 Intermediate Fairlane. I guess that cars are on the same timeline if they have the same name, not if they were actually the same cars.
