JohnRegarding the Gnat, use white or pink (really!) as a base coat for yellow and it covers in fewer coats. Tamiya's yellow is probably better than most but it's still a difficult color to work with.

Mr DGreat 👍 thanks for letting me know, l been a bit confused when I've seen people spraying pink 🤔?? Then paint over. Now it makes sense will try it next time. Cheers 😀

Weathering n panel lines need more learning.
The IAR-80 was decent price from HB and liked the paint scheme...bit different

Nice to have the interest, HB instructions bit weak!
They said to paint interior charcoal black like on the FW-190.
But l checked n the Romanian lAR interior was grey/blue.
Engine building next 6 parts deal.

A small amount of the wing is seen through bottom of cockpit, the HB instructions didn't mention painting it first!!
But the fit of the model be ok so far.

Scott HigginbothamI bought the Tamiya kit on eBay for a bargain price. Now collecting the detail sets (from around the globe) wherever I can find them at reduced prices! Slow progress but worth the effort!

There I can get a lot of HELLER models without or with some acrylic colours for free or a bit more. So I was asking myself it makes sense to try out those colours. Has anyone experience with HELLER colours and can give me an advice?
