Following. Still struggling with my Revell/Modeltrans/OKB Grigorov Merk. Also bought the EMP3D ball and chain armour but see that you used the balls only. Anxious to hear why. Where did you find the super fine chain? I didn't.

Following.
I had also thought about replicating the chainball armor with chains for my two Merkavas and tried but failed because the chains I found all seemed too big.

I was elated when EMP3D released the ball and chain armour and I ordered it and it looks very good. So I am anxious to know why Pryzemyslav discarded it.

Thx mates.
When i've bought EMP3D i was very happy, because there are no in the trumpeter set.
But after installation it occured they hang to low and just break with little turret movement
After few trials to fix them, ideas to rebuild the turewt, i've decided to replace them
Found small chains (even smaller that i've used) on mojehobby.pl

Looking fantastic 👍
Oversized decals in 1/48 appears to be a common problem with Italeri aircraft kits in 1/48. Despite the printing quality (Cartograph) it appears that Italeri are incapable of accurately measuring them for fit before sending off to Cartograph for printing. I have encountered similar decal fit issues with their 1/48 F-14A, Mirage III, Mig 21, S-3 Viking etc. Given that most (if not all) of their kits released these days are reboxings of older tooled kits; having to replace the decals as well is just a no go for me and so I now avoid the brand completely.

@James, I was not aware of this issue; I only started noticing when I started to apply the first decals and looking at the reference photos - there are 2 or 3 photos of this specific aircraft; now it's to late to go back, but I am alert for the future; @bughunter, I love this typo or propeller, like the ones we can see in the A400M, they are very beautiful and elegant and powerful at the same time!

I agree with the propeller lust. This kit is just the way I like it, nothing fits.

Started a few days ago, AK here has made a great job, excellent exterior but also interior detail too! Many parts at every step and good fitting so far without any problems.
It's going to be a vehicle from British European Airways, Heathrow airport 1973.
After 6 hours of working time I have managed to complete the chasis, engine and most of the cabin too.

Progress on the cabin and roof top today.
The construction part has almost completed and after a dry fit the model seems to be ready for primer!

Some more progress here with interior painting, engine painting and weathering!
For the end I added the seats and painted the chasis.
Next step the roof top and then fiting all together in order to have a complete result.

Final WIP on this project!
Roof top added, exterior painting with AK signal red and sealed with gloss varnish.
Decals from Cartograf were excellent as usual with no problems at all.
Will continue with some light exterior weathering and I will comeback with final photos!

SCM Topic: Junior 0-6-0 Diesel Shunter
Hi all, I would like to propose a name change to the above Topic. As a prototype I can't see any evidence of a 'Junior 0-6-0 Diesel Shunter' existing other than in connection to the fictional 'Thomas the Tank Engine' series, but the kits matched to the Topic currently all represent the following vehicle:
'204HP 0-6-0 Drewry Shunter'
which is what I propose the name be changed to.
I have already corrected some of the Topic info (eg manufacturer: Bachmann, who make models, to Drewry Car Co Ltd), and added the appropriate synonym (British Rail Class 04).
There is also a Wikipedia page for this vehicle, although this page uses its later TOPS name of 'British Rail Class 04' - is there any to link this page to the Topic as well?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_04
Happy to provide any further info if needed.

Incidentally, I forgot to mention that the Wikipedia page above states that the Kitmaster/Dapol kit is indeed based on the BR Class 04 aka 204HP 0-6-0 Drewry Shunter.
I still haven't been able to find any information stating that a 'Junior 0-6-0 Diesel Shunter' is a real vehicle.

Just following up on this. Are topic name corrections helpful or should I avoid suggesting them?

Hi, It can take Tim some time to get round to all posts, but yes, keep providing updates.
On the subject of SCM Topic: Junior 0-6-0 Diesel Shunter , I would suggest naming it 'BR Class 04' with '204HP 0-6-0 Drewry Shunter'

Hi Eddie, no problem at all, just thought I'd check - fully understand that it's a lot for one person to keep on top of! I was wondering whether the railway kits were not being updated in anticipation of a transfer to railwaymates.com or something... just a guess.
Your naming suggestion makes a lot of sense; 'BR Class 04' is what most people will have known the prototype as for around 50 of the 63 years the kit has been around. Thanks 🙂
I have updated the topic with '204HP 0-6-0 Drewry Shunter' as Synonym 1 and 'British Rail Class 04' as Synonym 2 - hope that makes it a little quicker and easier for Tim not having to look around for the info.

Thank you guys, and yes, I understand many very much. It has also become difficult for Russia to get hold of many model manufacturers.
