Another Simon-build? I´m in! The suspension on those Modelcollect E-50/75 kits is kind of fiddling intensive, at least when I remember building an E-50 years ago (albeit with quite a lack in modelling-experience)...

I have already read a lot about the lack of engineering performance of the Modelcollect kits in terms of accuracy of fit and executability and the E-series confirms this. Caution is advised!
But in my case, the E-Series projects are just a good way to try out and refine techniques ans skills- only "semi-serious" projects 😏

@lukasz: you can find so many of the t-54/-5 in all scales but only a few with polish markings, that's why i decided to do one- and i like the emblem😄

there are only a few pe parts in the box
headlight guards, the ir light holder on the commanders cupola and a frame on the engine deck
the quality and details of the plastic parts is just fantastic! also included is a copper wire
all parts fits without problems (takom quality 😄)

Regarding the kit, I thought it was mushy with nasty tracks and went for the Revell T-55 with KMT5. Terribly wrong it seems...

Of course, the parts with the singe track elements was a bit tricky, but the kit contains a assembly help, that makes it better to handle. However, i can only recommend this kit!
Till now i have no reference about the revell kit, so....

Gorgeous! Very clean build! How did the decals perform? I have a set of Oldmodels Decals but on the sheet they look quite thick and grainy. Curious how they are to work with.

Yes they are thick and grainy as you mention. They work ok but found it useful to cover each decal with a swipe of Johnson's klear. Once all in place a good overall coverage of gloss varnish helps to blend them all in. Satin/matt varnish after the weathering also helps.
