Smart thing you did there with cutting the canopy part from the body. I guess you will use a better one from other manufacturer. Did you use RLM66 for the cockpit since it looks a little bit brighter?
Also, this reminds me that I have to continue with work on mine which I started a long time ago.
Cheers!

thx for your inputs @Nikola.
definitely Im going to use different canopy. what revell did here is reprehensible (and I even didnt cut anything yet). 🙂 Eduard's 190 is already in my stash. will post pics later of both canopies side by side.
not strive here for 100% authenticity. I am using what I have in my box of tools&colors.

for comparison added pic with Eduard canopy. the overall quality difference is clearly visible. still wondering about the design decision at Revell related to the shape of the canopy and being cut like that.

not happy with the revell decals, too thick and I managed to apply them badly. thinking about removing them. any ideas what works best for removing decals?

When I was about 8 years old I took my built ships into the bathtub, the decals came off after about 2 minutes. So warm water and perhaps a little bit of soap should do the trick. Of course, this only works if nothing is sealed. Make sure there is no reaction with the paint.
