Thank you, it was a pleasure to make. The base is a bit of pallet wood with a nice knot in it, sanded, Danish oil and glossed.

Hi Nik, I think trying to paint on that vinyl material would be difficult. When I built mine a while ago I cut a thin strip of Tamiya's flexible masking tape and stuck it on around the seam. Mine's posted on iModeler.com. Hope this helps - happy modelling.
