ME329
A sunny day...
Cockpit
Almost ready for clear coat
Resin plastic is different plastic, as I am learning. Different glues, no sprues, need personal protection more than with styrene plastic when sanding and cutting..
Tamiya acrylics did not work for me. Vallejo was good.

Weathering and panel line wash
Progress on decals after first weathering
Filling in the gap for the vacu formed canopy and the fuselage. Zoom in picture from a distance
Flat clear coat just applied
Brown DO 17 Airfix is about 50 years old. Circa 1939 ME 329 Circa 1946, about the same wing span!
Before flat clear coat
Two swept wing MEs. One saw combat, one 'what if' Luft 46

Natural lighting even with clouds shows a bit of silvering on the upper decal

Model is basically complete, except for it's official portait (on a mirror in the outdoors). Resin is an interesting working material. Learned a lot in regards to how to glue, sand, paint, protective equipment. The decals went on well. The hardest part was the vacu form canopy. It left large gaps on both sides of the fuselage, even with some forced bend shaping. It took patience and 6 application-layers of white glue to fill the gap..
Generally happy with the result. I need to clean up my work area after this one.

Last bit of work is to minimize - eliminate silvering on the top two decals. Does not really show up that much in lamp light, but in the photos with natural light.
