WIP Mustang IVA

Album image #1
In a time looooong looooong ago I started gluing thin plastic sheet to the gear doors to have them sit flush for an inflight model I couldn’t build this one gear down anymore. Inflight it is then!

I took some parts home to spray them before closing the fuselage.

I used Mr. Surfacer Black 1500 and C27 for the cockpit sides. Quite a bright green interior color but somehow I like how it looks for now.

I used a dab of yellow in my Mr. Surfacer White 1500 to prepare the tips for C329 yellow.

And while at it I sprayed the spinner base white and the tip red according to Eduard’s instructions and the one wartime picture I could find. There’s an aircraft restored and painted up in this scheme with a whole red spinner but I doubt its historical accuracy.
