I gave up on my build of this model as the plastic spoke wheels look terrible. Yours are amazing!! I had to have a second look to see if it was a model or real.

Excellent model 👍 We used to call them 50SS 🤔
With the exhaust having an open funnel terminal, they made a beautiful noise.

@Rod: Monsterpartyhat gives some details in the description of the build. You may already find there what you are looking for.

Rod -- you can find lots of videos on YouTube on how to do spoke replacements. You'll need 0.3mm stainless steel spring wire and 0.7mm aluminum tubing (I think mine is from K&S; the wire I go on Amazon). I've compiled a playlist of all the spoke replacement videos I could find here:

spokes certainly require some work, but the results certainly make a huge difference

Aoshima's AC15 (CB50) Dream 50 kit in 1:12 scale. Love this bike.
Lots of modifications:
* Spoke replacement with 0.3mm stainless steel wire, with 0.7mm thin walled aluminum tubing for spoke nipples
* Replaced most of the brake cabling and wiring with 0.5mm wire
* Stripped all the chrome and repainted all the metallic parts.
* Fenders chrome instead of flat black (which would have been more accurate) 'cause I like it better this way
* Replaced the mirror stalk with steel wire from an insect pin
* Insect pins used for the rear axle adjusters
* Lots of hex bolt replacements
* UV resin used for instrument glass
* Top Studio hose joints
* Added an ignition coil to the frame; the spark plug connects to it
