Hey Lemmy, is this a former Delta Dagger with a replaced windshield? Looks interesting in Argentinian markings!

Fit of the kit is not as good as Tamiya but o.k. One week point is the instuction that for example shows a wing store configuration of 3 RP62 drop tanks but only two are included in the kit. It also does not show the exact position of the missile pylons. The kit I received seems to be the kit that has been sent first and was thought to be lost in parcel. So maybe I will canibalize the second kit I get for a third drop tank.

It does not help if the instruction shows alternative load configurations but neither the pylons nor the load is included. This is a little bit dissapointing.

Hey Lemmy, it looks great, so far! This is really, a not often seen model! You did a clean build and i´m convinced, that you´ll archieve a wonderful result!🙂

I dont think so. It is misterious because the photos are still visible in the preview but when I click at the album I also get a message that it is no more present. I contacted Tim regarding this issue and wait for response.

Two more immages added.
Gave up to build it OOB. Built up new fins of the drop tanks because the span of the kit parts seemed to be to narrow. Also replaced the engraved position lights in the wings by clear plastic.
First revision paint and sanding has been done. Next revision paint is on preperation.

Upper side is painted free hand in a first step. Tomorrow I will rework it using Patafix the first time to get sharp deviding edges between the different colors.

Tried the use of UHU Pattafix today to get sharp edges of the camouflage patter. The pattern is painted now but needs some slight rework tomorrow which has to take into account that the blue green markings will cover some of the camouflage pattern. Pattafix proved well. Will add it to my techniques.

The pattafix masking is a nice alternative for paper masking.

No! I toned up and down the two greens by using black and a light tan because the contrast between the two colors was very low. Next time I would not do the freehand painting but paint with tan first and mark the pattern directely. Because of the freehand painting I have too much green layers on the model now. This killed the preshading in some areas. I used the toned down black for a sligtht post shading.

After a break of two weeks and evaluation how to meet the color of the bluish markings they have been painted today. It has been done like on the original, first yellow and then the second color.

Hi Phil, have to rework two areas wher ethe Tamiya masking tape peeled away some paint. Then the decls, final assembly and a smooth wheatering will follow. But this will proceed slowly. I have a lot work at my job at the moment. I hope to finish this until the end of july when I start my summer vacation which gives me enough time to follow up a new complex project.

It is finished now.
I decided to add only the two underwing drop tanks. There is the option to add the center pylon with a third drop tank or two bombs. But I have to study additional references befor I do this.
Sometimes the instruction does not display some parts to be used resp. it was a decal stated on the decal plan which was not included. So some references (internet resp. books) do help to cover such things but nevertheless it has to be stated that the kit does not cause problems during construction.
I hope you enjoy the pictures of the finished kit.

Hi Chris,
it`s a beauty! Not only that it is a Dassault construction and thus the world best design... 🙂
the finish is of a fine and smooth style, the preshading and thus the weathering looks very fine and corresponded well in this scale! The construction of this pretty bird is very clean.
She has live and you matched this miraculous effect effectively.
I like models painted in this manner. Great job!

Hi Victor,
the fit is generally o.k.. The kit has no positioning pins so it has to be build with some patience. Some putty was needed for the wing - fuselage joint and on the underwing as well as on the cockpit section - fuselage joint, but not much. The pannel lines are sometimes not so sharp like on a Tamiya or Hasegawa kit but comparable f.e. with Airfix. No weapon loads are included. For me this kit is o.k, especially when I take into account that get a complete Dagger oob.

Today the brandnew Dagger weapos set arrived. Besides three very nice drop tanks it includes a new central pylon, two bombs and two pylons for the bombs. I will use the bombs and the pylons but not the drop tanks because I fear to damge the paint when I would remove the yet installed tanks. The third tank will be taken from the second kit I owe.

The freightdog parts are painted and mounted. Contrary to my first idea I also used the drop tanks of this set. The parts are well detailed and fit perfectely to the original pylons.
The only weak point is that all tanks show the same holes to fix and position them on the pylons. For the centerline tank this would lead to the situation that the tank would cover nearly the whole front wheel well so that the foreward landing gear could not be retracted. I solved this by using the foreward hole as the rear hole. Compared to fotos the tank position seems to be o.k. now.
