P 51B Mustang
Tamiya kit has a very good interior, but is missing the plywood floor so I made it in scratch in plasticard
I applied UV resin for the indicator to simulate the glass looking
I painted the cockpit as a very early version, according to IPMS Stockholm I used Lifecolor RLM74 as a close matchup for the Dull Dark Green
Painted with Vallejo's Bronze Green
Filling the flaps since were designed to be mounted in flight position
I know is not accurate but I don’t want to use resin for the wheel bay to keep it fun, I made some holes to make it more interesting
Since I made a mistake with the original I replace it with a new one made of plasticard
Removing the wing panels with Mr Surfacer, according to the info I gathered, this modification came from the manufacturer
After sanding the Mr Surfacer
Wheel bay ready
Detailed using aires wheel bays as referente.
Since I do not like the original .50 i decided to do them from scratch with brass tubes and a syringe needle
I used the kits wheels, good looking but had to re-scribe the tires
Only a copper wire for the brake lines on the landing gear, good detail from Tamiya as usual
Front canopy and quickboost sight ready
Landing gear ready
108 Galons droptanks ready
Primed with Rust Oleum
Since I did not like the "checkmate" pattern I painted before applying base color

Nice build.
And it seems like it's going to be an interessting painting. 👍
