![Album image #1 Album image #1](/albums/img/7/0/1/32701-10000-46-pristine.jpg)
Cockpit halves primed. Basic details are present.
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/7/0/2/32702-10000-48-pristine.jpg)
Most cockpit parts. Quite a lot of building.
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/7/0/3/32703-10000-21-pristine.jpg)
The cockpit slowly starts taking its shape.
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/7/0/4/32704-10000-51-pristine.jpg)
Seat in the foreground. With the details added it looks really good.
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/7/0/5/32705-10000-85-pristine.jpg)
Seat's side view. Seatbelts are also finely etched.
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/7/0/6/32706-10000-61-pristine.jpg)
Control panel. Resin + metal details and it really adds to the interior.
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/7/0/7/32707-10000-53-pristine.jpg)
Seat's frame with upper seatbelts attached.
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/7/0/8/32708-10000-15-pristine.jpg)
Main shape glued (with black marks to determine need for putty/sanding)
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/7/0/9/32709-10000-30-pristine.jpg)
Another side of plane. Exhauts are resin details.
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/7/1/0/32710-10000-95-pristine.jpg)
Underside. All parts require some dry fitting, but are well going together.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/7/1/1/32711-10000-16-pristine.jpg)
Mostly completed. Decals are varnished, only canopy and prop left.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/7/1/2/32712-10000-17-pristine.jpg)
Close up on the nose. Decals in the kit are superb.
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/7/1/3/32713-10000-89-pristine.jpg)
Underside. Maybe only the roundel colour is a little too dark.
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/6/5/1/33651-10000-86-pristine.jpg)
A little more completed - with sight and guns
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/6/5/2/33652-10000-19-pristine.jpg)
Close up on the nose.
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/6/5/3/33653-10000-66-pristine.jpg)
Cockpit, top view.
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/6/5/4/33654-10000-57-pristine.jpg)
Cockpit, side view. I'm quite pleased with this work.

Side gun cover should be visible as well as the gunsight.

You have a great constructions! Only a pity, that it's very hard to nail down a Tunnan or Viggen in 1:72 and no major producers are making them... (Though there is a wonderful Draken and a very nice Gripen 🙂 )

It's a constant hope n' dream to see some new Swedish birds in 1:72 from the major companies.

Album info
Work progress of SAAB's pioneer construction, the J-21.
Model is a Special Hobby kit, built straight from the box, though beside plastic sprue there is quite a lot of photo etched details (mostly cockpit) and some resin parts too (exhausts, wheels and minor details).
This one is in temporary scheme with a sharkmouth on the nose - I simply can't resist that pattern 😉
