I use 2 compound filler for the gap between waterline and casting runner.

I drilled open the hawse pipes and tried to soften the opening by sanding it.

The superstructure parts were fixed with some drops of acrylic gel which can be removed by alcohol later.
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/0/5/1/92051-11788-19-720.jpg)
Then I drilled holes of 1mm diameter for metal rods.

The rods are glued into the superstructure parts. Now I can work on them separatly and position them again exactly on the hull.

Some misfit on the end of the aft superstructure.
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/1/5/6/92156-11788-73-720.jpg)
With a chisel I corrected the misfit on the aft superstructure.
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/1/5/7/92157-11788-43-720.jpg)
After sanding I dilled missing windows and added doors to the sides.
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/1/5/8/92158-11788-77-720.jpg)
With a marking gauge I simulated the joints on the funnel sides by engraving them.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/1/5/9/92159-11788-44-720.jpg)
Next step were the main gun turrets in which I drilled the holes for the turned brass barrels.

Another addition was the little hatch on top of the turret which I took from a Fletcher PE set.

Thank you guys for the interest. Today saw some small progress mostly on the aft superstructure.

nice progress, but why do you modify the lower part of the aft superstructure? It seems to me it is easier to modify the upper part by adding a piece od flat styrene and shape it to fit to the lower part! Cheers, Christian

@ Christian: now it´s done 🙂 on top of the upper part will be added another level with a very thin wall around it. This level fits very well to the one below. So it was easier for me to adjust the hull superstructure than the upper levels.

Album info
With the beginning of my Christmas holiday I started a new project. I want to build HMS Indeaftigable during her time in the Mediteranean in the end of 1914. Thought the Combrig kit is done very well there are still some lacks in detail I try to modify or scratch.
Additional parts I will use are gun barrel and mast sets from BMK, Royal Navy railing from Alliance Model Works, cage areal spacers from WEM and finallyIJN doors and hatches also from WEM which not exactly fit to RN WWI appearance but are very similar.
