Philip De KeyserNice work Glenn, I started this a few months ago at a scale of 1/72 of trumpeter, he is almost ready to be post on scalemates, this is indeed a beast in a 32 Scale

Phil MarcheseI was just reading about this very plane in an old AAHS journal. If it is still on my night stand I ll add Ref. Vol etc. I think it was from 1971.

Glenn HancockI did go all out with pre and post shading, and also lightened the primary colors to give it a baked in the sun appearance.
I was also fortunate to meet a gentleman who knew the pilot of this aircraft - when he was a general no doubt!

DutchAt Christmas, I purchased the Squadron/Signal book of Lou Drendal artwork, [highjly recommended], where he has a page of artwork devoted to this particular aircraft and his presentation to the pilot, then Gereral Don Kutyna, when he was at the pentagon.

I've always liked the F-105, and also really like the Southeast Asia Camo (SEA) used by Air Force birds during the Vietnam conflict. This is my build of the Trumpeter 1/32 scale F-105D Thunderchief. I picked it up from an e-bay auction a few years ago and finally tackled the beast. There are a number of errors in the design of this kit, but I didn't bother correcting them. The movable flaps are pretty annoying, would have been better just to glue open or closed. The landing gear is metal - but it is still pretty wobbly as it is a heavy kit. All in all, I really like how this one turned out!
