Building.

Bare tube with cut off plastic details. Some metal parts on the oute electronics though.
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/6/5/6/201656-11813-18-720.jpg)
Left side - not really much details go here.
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/0/9/7/204097-11813-50-720.jpg)
By all means the cockpit is too small and a little out of scale. But it looks quite nice.
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/0/9/5/204095-11813-33-720.jpg)
Pilot's side consoles.
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/0/9/6/204096-11813-37-720.jpg)
Cockpit tub. I was worried it will be too "flat" but coloured parts look reasonably busy.
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/0/9/8/204098-11813-97-720.jpg)
After closing it up and painting - it'll make a good impression of the pilot's workspace. Though still - Revell didn't nail it.
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/0/9/4/204094-11813-17-720.jpg)
Side view. Coloured parts are a nice touch, though it's a little tricky to blend it all together.
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/0/9/3/204093-11813-11-720.jpg)
Ejection seat with PE applied.
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/6/6/1/201661-11813-15-720.jpg)
Wheel wells glued in. They look busy enough.
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/6/5/8/201658-11813-26-720.jpg)
Angled inside view ith some PE plates.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/6/5/7/201657-11813-82-720.jpg)
Front wheel well similar to Italeri one. But a great + for perfect fit to both fuselage halves.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/6/5/9/201659-11813-60-720.jpg)
Main wells. As it can be seen - kit parts are somewhat bare.
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/6/6/0/201660-11813-47-720.jpg)
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/6/6/2/201662-11813-13-720.jpg)
To be honest - there's really not much visible apart from the PE parts...
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/4/3/6/225436-11813-13-720.jpg)
Pylons undersides also with PE parts.
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/4/3/5/225435-11813-88-720.jpg)
PE rails added to the wing tips.
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/4/3/4/225434-11813-19-720.jpg)
Upper wings added along with the nose tip. Some last sandings required and then - rescribing panel lines.
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/3/7/0/223370-11813-12-720.jpg)
All gaps were filled with CA glue - it now only needs some minor polishing and then upper wings will go.
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/3/6/9/223369-11813-96-720.jpg)
Main modules are ready - front and rear fuselage + bottom with wings. Although a new tool I find the Revell's fitting far from good.
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/3/6/8/223368-11813-93-720.jpg)
Slowly getting the main shape done.
![Album image #21 Album image #21](/albums/img/9/5/6/294956-11813-11-720.jpg)
Wheels and main gear struts. Those bigger are the supplied, those smaller are Eduard's Brassin. Again a quick, simple upgrade which adds to the model. Also - notice the ugly dent on the kit's wheel.
![Album image #22 Album image #22](/albums/img/9/5/7/294957-11813-99-720.jpg)
Main gear covers with some etching.
![Album image #23 Album image #23](/albums/img/9/5/8/294958-11813-64-720.jpg)
So far so good. All antennas and Pitots are in place.
![Album image #24 Album image #24](/albums/img/9/6/0/294960-11813-69-720.jpg)
But the main tube was a challenge indeed.
![Album image #25 Album image #25](/albums/img/9/5/9/294959-11813-39-720.jpg)
Tail tube was tricky, but sits nicely.
![Album image #26 Album image #26](/albums/img/9/6/1/294961-11813-25-720.jpg)
I'm just waiting for the Aires engine to arrive, so I can glue the engine's ring and it's ready to be primed.
![Album image #27 Album image #27](/albums/img/9/5/4/294954-11813-92-720.jpg)
I wanted to use the kit's AIM-9L, the looked OK on a sprue, but it turned out that the fit is poor and well... Just look at the Eduard's resin ones.
![Album image #28 Album image #28](/albums/img/9/5/5/294955-11813-35-720.jpg)
Great details, easy assembly - those AIMs will save me a lot of time.

Thanks a lot to everyone so far! 🙂
Although it is indeed surprising to find what fits and what doesn't, there are no flaws that requres major conversions, so it only needs some filling and sanding.
I hope in a couple of days I will have the fuselage all ready for adding rest of the detaila 🙂

Album info
As the kit is quite convienently divided into three sections (nose, tail and mid/wings) I can concentrate on smallr areas one at a time.
So far it's all quite good, though I have serious doubts about the inner measurements...
