Mirage 2000C
What did Italeri think when the were designing the tool? There shouldn't be any detail on the radome.
The kit comes together fairly easy. Care must be taken to get a good fit without any large seams..
The panel lines were removed with automotive putty and primed with Tamiya XF-19.
Prepainting the intakes.
A first coat of primer was applied to show any flaws that need attention.
All stripes have been painted on the missiles.
After some postshading it is ready for the first clear coat.
Done!

Yes, it will be the same version, but the I will do 12-YN, as seen before it had the special scheme in 2000. Decals will be from the Astra sheet #ASD7201.

Good job Dennis. Just one thing, I suppose you know that the italeri kit depicts the prototype M2000 and not the production aircraft. Or at least that is correct for the 48th scale and I don't know if the 72nd kit a scale down of the 48th.

No, I did not know that it is a prototype. Somewhere I've read the wingtips are wrong, but I don't care. Still better than trying to rescribe the Heller kit with raised detail.

also interested in the colors, I hope to be able to build this one also in the near future... will be a pain in the but for painting though: [img1]

I've used Vallejo Model Color 900 "French Mirage Blue" and 990 "Light Grey" (FS 36375). Thinned with about two parts Tamiya X-20A. Masking was done with White Tac.

Thank you, Łukasz. I wasn't even aware that I've put the model in almost the same square. There are a couple of days in between both pictures. LOL!

Great result for a kit that is not considered that easy. Well done mate!
