MG34 Gunner
Primed for painting.
the sculpting was great, but the boots lacked the hobnails. So I added my own.
the styrene rods

the rods clipped, sanded and initial coat of paint.
The figure did not include the MG34 carry handle, nor the sling, so I scratchbuilt them.

Wow, a figure - rarely seen at Scalemates. Nice trick with the shoenails 👍 Following ...

Hey Brian.
I oove the extra you made with the boots and the MG. That gives it the special extra! Love it, also the base well done!

Thanks. I tried to depict the lighter green all cotton twill fabric used in the summer of 1941 - 1942 (feldgrau wool was too hot)but couldn't get the subtle off white linear thread look.

I didn't like the kits base, and the need for a mold frame to depict the water. Pouring acrylic water with open / exposed sides is challenging and requires practice. So, I made my own. Pleased overall with it.
