Thanks mates, its the begining need to highlight and omber everything 🙂 Thanks for the holder, there is 3 hole on the top of them in order to be able to put every kind of figures on it (each figures have a wire in their legs to reinforce it)

Nice work Seb! Which paints are you using? and did you mix your own colors? Thanks!

Thanks, i'm using ak3070 (US uniform WW2 from AK), I haven't done yet any higlight or omber, i'm a acrylic beginner (I'm better with my oils, but there are so many figures to do, it's easier to do them using acrylics, with good colors ready to use 🙂 just have to mix colors for highlight and omber...)

Thank you so much, I liked the hues in those colors. That's a must for my paints. For what it's worth I usually use an enamel base color and detail with the acrylics and also use the acrylic thinner and a damp brush to help create some highlights on painted areas.

Hello all, the first 9 gi's are done, may be some splashes with gloss varnish to simulate water, but this will be done when i'll fit them on the big diorama...still 100 figs to do, i'm going to prepare the 10 next 🙂

Nice progress Seb. 👍 I am looking forward to your further steps. What size will the Diorama base have in the end?
Cheers

The size of the dio is still in discussion, too big for my living room for sure 🙂 I focus on the US side, one lcvp will be still in the water with all guys in, the 2 others will have their door open with all the gi's going outside...for the moment i think it will be about 1.2 meter large for 1 meter long, but it can still change, i'll make a box, in order to properly store it, and to easily take it in exposition

The size is really amazing seb! I did a 1/72 D-Day diorama years ago and found this was big, till today 🙂 It´s a bit sad to banish the dio in a box to store it, isn´t it? What about a modular dio? You could always have a part from the dio displayed in your living room and for presentation purposes you may connect all modules to one big scene.

For what it's worth...when I do a lot of figures, I use empty egg cartons to hold them. maybe that will help you too.

thanks john and timothy, for egg cartons, do you mean to store them once done ??? I'm using a closed plastic box with polystryren in the bottom as each figure have a pin un their leg to hold them 🙂
