Some sink marks
Pressing the tank tip
Cockpit tub
Seats, kit and Pavla
Some more sink mark
panels added
comparison of the two seats
Ordnance
6 AAM, two of them nuclear
IP, decals slightly misaligned
Some added details
painted seat
just some alu and dark wash
tub in place
Cockpit tub needed some support
nose weight
canopy needed some support to avoid a step
rather big bird!
Preshading too strong for red! 🙁
Nah...
Red sanded off again
same for the tank.
Second try. Red, without preshading
slight postshading
same for the fuselage.
First decals on. Work nice with MicroSol, but the red is slightly out of register.
Decals setting solution works!
Good match of the decal silver colour with the revell Alu paint!
Bad placement of decals. It's a pity that Revell did not manage the insets of the decal instructions properly! 🙁
Nice side
Not so nice side. In order to have the stripes on bottom side well aligned, the right side had to be attached lower. Stripes painted in order to look symmetrical on both sides.

Nice... It would be cool to see a modern tooling of this in 1/48. I built the Revell one last century and left it with someone who was supposed to be a friend and he went and sold it from under my nose. I never saw the model, money or him again.🙁

This 1/72 is from the 90's and pretty decent. scalemates.com/kits/143957-revell-4568-f-89-d-j-scorpion Is also from the 90's. I guess it could be decent as well.

Could it be that Revell printed the Tiptanks upside down on the instructions? I think that the large square panels should be on top, not on the underside. After all, a fuel filler cap is much bigger than a draining point...
