Mr. Surfacer 1000 testing. I think that it went well
seam checking - all the filing and sanding was worth it
even the worst transition is quite nice in the end

Yes I know. The engine bits should be more like iron color but I like it so far.
engine with several different colors of MR Paint metallic colors
engine bits enhanced with Mr Color buffable Dark Iron
everything glued together and ready for decals
front decals were the worst the side are without any problems
all decals on place. ready for clear cote and wash
If I should do this kit again in the future - red stripes will be airbrushed instead of using decals. it was nightmare to work with the decals in some places.
but it looks nice in the end 🙂 I'm happy with the result
matt varnish sealed everything. spacecraft is officialy finished! 🙂
since this is my (counting in my mind...) third proper plastic model, I'm quite happy how it turned out. (yes there are mistakes I know but I do not care at this point. 🙂 )
now let's get the stand painted. Nice details on the front surface...

decals are in place. lower portion was painted MRP-153 Gold.
not perfect (some cleaning of the gold paint of the "Map" could be better...
only final coat of gloss and we are done 🙂

Spanjaardmaybe it should be darker (no idea), but it certainly looks really good 🙂. what is your opinion about the kit so far?

Martin FrckaThank you very much. Regarding the kit itself, it will be challenge to put it together. some parts have loose fit but overall, I think that it is quite good. I had to fill and sand the gap between the two halves in the front section but other than that (so far) it is very pleasant build. The PE set from Green Strawberries is in my opinion must have.

Martin FrckaIt is worth it. I did not used half lot of parts (side engine pipelines; undercarriage parts) but the cockpit really shine with the upgraded panels.

And the greenstrawberry stuff looks good!

Spanjaardi doubted betwen paragrafix and Greenstraberry too... Paragrafix can be ordered from US which can increase the price considerably when going through customs.... so i avoided problems and got Greenstrawberry. set is pretty good

For the stand... Maybe brushpaint the raised parts and airbrush it over with whatever color you plan for the recessed areas 🙂

Spanjaardif the detail is inside, do a short of very heavy panel line wash with some dark color, clean everything out out of the recessed lines, and then paint the rest in light color.
unless the detail is raised instead of recessed. in that case, you can try to paint in black, carefully remove the pain with a cotton bud in the details, and then paint in white.

Martin FrckaYes. The gold "map" was painted firts by hand, cleaned the edges as much as I could, masked the front side (so you can see the map) and several thinner coats of black everywhere. After that masked everything and bottom part get gold coat. After applying decals final clear gloss coat.
My hands were shaking while I was painting the gold map, and that's why it's not as clean as I would like.

Günther DebiscopI would have chosen to paint it from the bottom as there the black parts are the recessed parts and thus you could have filled the lower parts with the gold.. just mho, but still you're way also resulted in a top piece
