Hi Matthias the kit is partial engraved already just rear part of main body raised and although it was my intention to try and re-scribe I decided to leave the raised panel line and try to paint and weather to give a look I was looking for.
In truth I didn't want to risk spoiling an expensive kit as my re- scribing skills aren't the best

thanks for your answer, i am going to build the same kit very soon, and i saw the raised panel lines and i started to sand them all down and re scribe. But when i look at your beautiful tomcat i think this task was probably unnecessary

Thank you for the compliment on my tomcat. My plan was to re-scribe using the raised panel lines as the guide then sand them off.
I don't think it would be too difficult task but I am pleased with my result and the raised panel lines are not an issue for me.
There was a load of ejector pin marks that need to be taken care of particularly on the wheel wells and undercarriage, this is where the kit shows it's age. Also filler was required for many of the bigger joins that required sanding and detail replaced so take time to dry fit everything first before gluing.

Previous 1/32 Tamiya kit was the F4 phantom that was a breeze to build the Tomcat need more patients. Hope you enjoy your F14 build as much as I did. I look forward seeing photos of your when finished
