WEEKEND BUILD - Messerschmitt Me 163 - Hobby Boss
It's an "Easy Assembly" kit with whopping 17 parts to deal with
I had two sets of decals in the box and additionally an aftermarket one, much to choose from!
The few parts were rapidly assembled, superglue and accelerator were used
In no time I had the preshading down
Lower side RLM76
RLM82 for the upper fuselage...
...and RLM81 Brown violet
Gunze Acrylics were used, fantastic paint
Some detail here and there..
That was the work of the first evening!
Second day, a coat of "Future" and application of decals
Third day: panel line wash and finishing
The decals were very sensitive and were partly dissolved by the wash, no big deal though I think it looks genuine!
Small parts attached, some detail painting and a semiflat coat of clear later...
One is for sure, that was a record time for me!

Nice work! The clear part is of the box or did you use some vacu cabin?

Very cool weekend build, I have to try this methodology one day😉
Yeap, the HB canopies used to be very clear, though not very thin.

👍 It is my first HB airplane, so i can't say too much about that but the canopy was indeed surprizingly thin and clear given that this is "only" a "snap kit". A quick OOB build once in a while doesn't do any harm and this is surely not my last one!

Album info
While glancing over my collection and dedusting a few boxes I stumbled over this little kit that has been collecting dust for a while...It was a spontaneous decision to give it a go and finish it on a weekend....
