Robertto make a long story short it was a lot of work...
...the first idea was to paint it by hand on wood panels, which I dismissed pretty quickly...
...then I was looking for a hi quality photo of the deck, no luck either...
finally I scanned the deck of an old 1/600 scale Airfix kit. The to scans I put together with a paint program and started to colorizing it. Then it was plotted on plastic foil...

Our project "Aircrafts of the USS Forrestal" was last weekend on display at the Show in Zeiszam (DE). Currently we have 18 aircrafts in scale 1/48 on display and another 10 in the pipeline.
The dimension of the display is 6m x 1.5m (18ft x 4.5ft)
