Btw the lines on the 1st pic tell me it's not a public road at all (AFAIK Swiss paint yellow only the pedestrian crossings) 🙂

yes, is is a public road, the yellow is a demarcation between a bicycle lane and the road (yes, I am from Switzerland, and I do ride a bike). Like the malaysian picture too! 🙂

Guys, thank you so much for this treasure chest of valuable information! Great stuff to read upon! I definitely want to portray this Bug crossing a road, so I might need to extend my groundwork to include the barrier in order to point out that it's actually a traffic road.

Always!!! 😄 I'm Dutch and in the Netherlands cyclists have ALWAYS right of way! Whether they have or not is just semantics. 😉
