Hull halves glued together

The only interior parts are the seats and console. The hull was thinned and a rear bulkhead and floor was added from styrene sheet. The seats were such rough castings they needed filler!

Pedals and control sticks scratched and added. Consol sanded to a more reasonable size and dials added

Interior painted

The kit just had a scribed oval for the engine louvres. These were hollowed out and new louvres cut from some scribed styrene sheet
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/7/4/8/702748-27411-88-pristine.jpg)
New louvres installed and rear part of canopy installed (this later broke off due to handling). Extra thick panel lines filled and panel lines rescribed

Exhaust pipes made from brass tubing

The front wheel supplied with the kit was very rough and unusable. A new one was made from a 1/48 Bf109 tailwheel and some styrene sheet

Completed front undercarriage
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/7/5/3/702753-27411-53-pristine.jpg)
Main undercarriage made from styrene rod and glued in place
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/7/5/5/702755-27411-19-pristine.jpg)
The main rotors were also very rough. Some air bubbles needed filling and they needed reshaping - this is the start of the process.

Rotors reshaped, main rotor hub parts made from brass tube and wire, styrene tube and sheet. Still a lot of detail to add

Album info
My version of the Flying Checkpoint Hiller UH-4 seen in Destination Moon. The Unicraft kit is a very rough resin kit with no detail parts - you need to build your own rotor hub , main undercarriage and any details.
