This kit is sold as a starter set or model set which means...
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/1/2/4/824124-72231-66-720.jpg)
... it comes with four paints, glue and a paintbrush so that an aspiring model builder can start right away.

One page assembly instructions...
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/1/2/5/824125-72231-84-720.jpg)
... and one page painting guide. Looks fairly simple.

I have no experience with Heller acrylics, or acrylics in general.

Only twenty five parts. The clear sprue has parts for three different kits: the Vautour, a Super Mystere and a Caravelle. It is one of Hellers earliest kits, from 1964, and as such is not very detailed. Cockpit interieur and wheel wells are basically non-existend.

The fit is less than stellar and I am afraid that this won't be an easy built.

It's only getting worse from here...

Gappy McGapface
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/2/7/4/825274-72231-43-720.jpg)
Nothing that can't be fixed with half a pound of Plasto.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/2/7/3/825273-72231-23-720.jpg)
This thing easily doubled in weight just by the amount of filler needed.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/2/7/8/825278-72231-43-720.jpg)
There is no cockpit interior, might as well just fill it out.
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/2/7/6/825276-72231-43-720.jpg)
Ready for painting.
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/2/7/7/825277-72231-52-720.jpg)
Primed, canopy blackened and masked, ready for take off.
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/2/7/9/825279-72231-45-720.jpg)
The acrylic paints that came with this kit did not play well with my airbrush system - or I just handled them wrong, my experience with acrylics is basically zero. I also did not like the shade of silver - Heller 11 Argent/silver - that is supposed to be used for the plane, so I used Revell 91 steel instead.

Decals done, all that's left is clear coat and installation of wheels.
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/4/9/4/826494-72231-57-720.jpg)
Finished.Despite the low parts count this was not an easy, straight forward build. The fit was terrible, especially for the engines.
