![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/9/6/8/891968-20363-61-pristine.jpg)
The KP kit is a "short run" , sprue connections must be removed

more sprue connections
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/9/6/9/891969-20363-46-pristine.jpg)
No back seat bench in the kit, must be made from the spare box. DACO resin kit has the seat with safety belts
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/6/9/8/895698-20363-61-720.jpg)
SH kit content : much detail and a lot of tiny parts
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/6/9/9/895699-20363-40-720.jpg)
Fuselage of SH kit (left) and KP kit (right) compared. The floor of the SH kit is just a little too wide to fit, a littke scraping is required.
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/7/0/0/895700-20363-45-pristine.jpg)
I combined the dashboard of the KP kit with a spare from SH. Some filing and scraping is required to fit it in the fuselage. KP kit has no backseat , it comes from the spare box. The nose requires some putty to smoothen the joints
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/8/5/6/1018856-20363-10-720.jpg)
step 7 : glue B8 tot B9 and sand down to fit A8 ! It is easier to scrap away the two lttle ribs on A8
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/4/3/3/897433-20363-16-pristine.jpg)
SH kit instructs : glue dashboard to cockpitfloor. It is easier to glue the dashboard to the fusalage. Parts B1, B2, B4 were slightly too wide to fit easily in the fuselage and needed some sanding to adjust them. There is no "parcel shelf" B21 in the Belgian Marchettis.
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/4/2/3/1093423-20363-78-pristine.jpg)
This beacon (?) is not present on the early Belgian SF260M , it shoud be removed, leaving a tiny hole in the wing to be filled with putty. For the SF260D , the bump is much flatter.
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/4/3/5/897435-20363-25-pristine.jpg)
The space between dashboard and nose can be used to add weight to avoid a tailsitter

Following with interest. My daughter saw this aircraft in a documentary and wants to build it. She liked it being yellow and red.

Me 2.
The comparison of the new SH and KP kits is interesting. I think SH is better, but KP offers decals for more interesting decorations. Thanks for the input 👍.

Great work, Erik! The SF-260 is a great looking aircraft. Looking forward to following your progress.

I really enjoy and admire your "variation-on-a-theme" multiple builds / collections (even using several different kits of the same subject), as in the case of your Fouga collection or the SF260 (one of the most graceful aircraft!). I wish you will also include the civilian example of photo 33 in your future SF260 builds... Keep up the good work! 👍

Thank you, Alex, and yes I will build the Belgian civilian one. I am actually working on home made decals for several Belgians and I found someone in the Netherlands who can print decals with white for a very reasonable price. Special Hobby announced a second kit of the SF 260 with the higher canopy. Unfortunately An other yellow one, so I will have to make more decals.

Still putting decals on ST-20 : many VERY TINY ones, and I misplaced some. Fortunately , I bought several kits, so I can finish it

One more finished : the SH-kit with the decals in the kit. They are very delicate, and I screwed up some, but as I had more than one kit, I could correct my errors.

Before Erik out of stock them from all stores I got a kit from Special Hobby and one from KP 😛
Looking good this one too. Congrats! 👍.

Thanks for providing interesting information about your builds, I really appreciate that.
I'm very pleased by the Sabena ones, are you willing to share a copy of your decals? Of course I would pay you for that 😉
