AMT Bobby Allison 72 Monte Carlo Stock Car

Album info
Very crisp and accurate body from original 70 to 72 Monte Carlo. Nothing special than sanding and filing the usual little flash and mold seams. More effort needed for an acceptable stance.
In spite of the old mold, fitting is pretty good, especially the windows but also the bumpers. Spent more than two hours to clean the mold seems, flash and injector pin marks on the body and hood. About the same time for the sub-assemblies (engine, seat and roll cage). Tires too large for rims, so super-glued interior, some weathering with cosmetic powder (have to repeat it after final assembly). Stance better after putty front axle and sanding front of chassis (connect to interior). Have to lift a bit the roll cage. Two-tone paint job came out nicely. Decals are printed in good quality and went on w/o any troubles. Nice touch: there are 2 different styles of the #12 and the contingency decals which makes some spare decals after all. Conclusion: very nice body proportions, basic engine (metal axle thru oil pan, w/upper radiator hose) and chassis. Overall: nice shelf model!
