I saw this video on YouTube for mixing paint. I too had an old jigsaw and a Harbor Freight mini clamp. A little metal trimming and I mixed my entire inventory in less than an hour.

Hmmm. Bottle might come loose for some reason and suddenly the room is painted silver here and there I think.

I have not had any paint spills. You do have to keep an eye on the shaking bottle. Sometimes it drifts out of the clamp and falls.

Harbor Freight sells them pretty cheap. The tricky part is you need an old school jigsaw that uses screws to hold the blade. Most all of the newer ones have a tool-less method of holding the blades.

Simple and functional! 👍
For example, a kitchen electric knife can be used with the same success. It works on the same principle as an electric jig saw.
Kitchen electric knives have a simple tool-free blade attachment, to attach the plastic clamp, simply copy the shape of the blade end (which is used to connect to the electric knife drive) to the end of the clamp. The modified end of the clamp is then inserted into one of the holes (it doesn't matter if left or right) for the blade and the shaker is ready for use 🙂

I saw this on Youtube and had all the items on hand. A little rotary tool work on the end of the clamp to get it to fit in my ancient jigsaw and it was up and shaking. It works fast and fantastic! Some of my paint jars are 30 years old.
