I built the plane 'as landed' without the bottom setion of the wedge-shaped tailplane and without the external fuel tanks.

This fantastic rocket plane achieved so many firsts. Its wings are not obvious in many 'photos.

Thanks Guy. I have a thing for X-planes and record-breakers in general. I've done the X-1 and I'm working on a 3D-printed Miles M.52 which would have gone supersonic before the X-1 if it hadn't been cancelled by the British government. This X-15 is a very nice model to build.
