Porsche 918 Spyder

Tried 2k primer for the first time and it didnt go as well as i had hoped. Will sand the imperfections and go over with 1k primer before moving to base coat 

 

Decided to cut out the part where a mesh would be in real life to add some detail 

tried to fix some of the primer blemishes base coat went well but some of the issues are still visible. Decided that it is good enough for me and hope they will be less visible after the clear coat 

 

 

removed the front splitter (got the idea from tsmc) so that i can still merge the body even though i glued the front bumper on first  

 

 

 

 

 

Unsure if the rear soiler should be carbon because it integrates so well in body colour into the shape when retracted but decided that it looks more agressive and i still have the chance to change it down the line if i end up not liking it  

Now to polishing as there is some orange peel sadly  

rear spoiler looking good enough to maybe skip the polishing part 

Not sure the PE parts were really that necessary but i already cut the part so i had to do it 

 

Added some acid green lines to make the interior more interesting  

 

 

kind of wished i removed the front number plate holder but as i already painted the body i decided to just keep it as is  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

First time doing the pe windshield wipers  

 

 

 

 

Only the rear lights are missing now but they prove to be quite difficult as thye need to be 3 colours but only consist of one part each... I wish they split them up for easier painting, but for the pricepoint i get why they didnt do it  

 

Finally finished the rear lights. They didnt turn out perfect but good enough for me and that concludes this build 🙂
