Dean HarpsterThanks so much! This round of US and Soviet missiles I recently made were each very simple- two or three pieces each- but were fun, and I needed a project to get my back in the game. I had put the hobby aside for a while.

The R-36M, deployed in 1988, was viewed by United States analysts as giving the Soviet Union first strike advantage, particularly because of its rapid silo-reload ability, very heavy throw weight and extremely large number of re-entry vehicles. Some versions of the R-36M were deployed with 10 warheads and up to 40 penetration aids and the missile's high throw-weight made it theoretically capable of carrying more warheads or penetration aids. At full deployment, before the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, 308 R-36M launch silos were operational.
