Hi mates!
Started another one! The fastest Bi Wing in 1937!
Started with the interior and dryfitting! Forgot how bad that kit is!
The earlier ICM kits appeared like early short run kits😬

Oh, sign me up. I built this kit once before… and will be again after a shelf mishap… so I'm eager to see what can be accomplished in the hands of a Master.

Welcome Mates..
Fit is..... No Locator pins etc. Unusual for a Injected Kit.
lot of fitting, sanding and finally some more putty...and still the wing roots needs some more of it later on.
@Greg so you are a victim of this softest Plastic sculpting either!? 🙂

Yes. Indeed. As I recall, I had lots of trouble getting the wing struts in place. They're angled and weak... all at the same time.
Ironically, this was the Tintin project that took the brunt of my glass shelf disaster, valiantly sacrificing itself thanks to it being the tallest model on the shelf when the shelf above it came crashing down. It must've known that I'd already got another box and had plans to re-attempt a better result. 😉
My earlier work is here - The Blue Lotus (Ki-10 "Perry") | Album by strobez (1:72) if it's of interest. The one thing I was the proudest of was opening up the vent on the nose. It was a bit of work, but worth it for the look in my opinion.

Will you make them with wheel fairings? If so, how will you do it?
I was hesitating between this kit from ICM and the one from AviS and I assumed that this one would be easier to build. I prefer a Ki-10 with wheel fairings, but the ICM kit doesn't include them. AviS's does include them, but it seems a little worse and more expensive than ICM's.

Hi Mate,

Hi Greg, saw your build recently and you are right! Those wing struts are a joke.
How the heck should this work as mentioned by ICM.
I think i'll have to modify them..BTW

cool little japanese plane! 👍🏻 I also find a mesmerizing harmony between the plane and the stand on pic 7... like they were made for each other in a zen-like way... 😄

Oh, would really like to have this kit, but it looks above my skill level right now. Have been reading about this aircraft in the early stages of the Manchurian conflict. What a cool looking plane!

Turning a crude kit into something very presentable should give a special feeling of satisfaction. Enjoy!

Thank you all mates for your overwhelming positive feedback.
This really is not an easy built and surely there is still much room for Improvement but i am happy with the result.
And all your nice and warm comments are very muc appreciated.

I have one, but its sitting in the storage spot. I did build two Hasegawa ones, those were a chore as well.
