1/72 Battletech Awesome
The core of the kit is a bunch of 3d printed parts. The material is very strong and flexible, resembles ABS plastic.
After removing supports by just tering them off. I did a dry fit of parts. The gunpls joints with rubber spheres are strong and have a good grip to support the pose.
Primer applied all fits very well. I like that bruiser. Actually Awesome is my favorite IS mech, so I just couldn't pass.
Very much masking is needed for great result.
The parts are painted and ready to asseble
The feet are looking good.
Now the masking again. More colors mean more coolness.
The lower half is done. Now the torso.
I'm painting this mech for Marik 4th Oriente Hussars. So lower and upper parts will be dark green hexagonal camo. The base color will be khaki.
The torso is finished.
Only thig left is to paint the pilot and two external cameras and then I can move to the arms.
The mech is finished.

ABS like resin? Maybe I should try it as well at some point. So far I broke all joints of 3d printed models with the eco resin. It's too brittle.
Really cool to see it's possible to have a movable 3d printed Battlemech.
