There is just one helicopter I would love to see in 1/48. It is the Mi-28 Havoc. I call it the "Smiling assassin" because it seems to be grinning when viewed from front on.

The cannon-armed Hind looks mighty fierce. And it is such a large helicopter.

Kerry, I'd love to see an Mi-26 in 1/48. I know that'd be a monster, but that is one of the reasons I love to build aircraft all in the same scale. You can see how they compare.

A Mi-26 in 1:48 would be so cool. As the monster it is, it would be 83 cm long and with a 66 cm rotor diameter. Italeri's C-130 in 1:48 have a wingspan of 83 cm and Monograms Space Shuttle with Boosters have a height well over 80 cm. So it's not impossible with models that big, but they don't come everyday.

Hehe I have a long list of airframes I would **LOVE** to see in 1:48
top of the list oddly are C-119, C-123,C-46 and P-3..

Yeah, it would be on the big end, but not so much larger than other kits in 1/48 scale. Though the difference is that the C-130 and Space Shuttle are much better known around the world. But there is the 1/48 B-1B, so never say never I guess. And before the year is out we should have a 1/48 Concorde and B-52.
Once that B-52 comes out, the two big airframes I'd most like to see in 1/48 are the Mi-26 and the P-3

HpH is putting out a resin Concorde this month. And Sanger is prepping a vac and resin B-52. That one doesn't have a firm release date, but he does say he is onto the last prep steps.
