A collection of builds comparing the Hasegawa, old Revell and new Revell kits.
The XI Sqn aircraft with the old AIM-120B QRA loadout is from the Hasegawa kit and Revell decals.
The II Sqn machine is depicted as deployed in December 2018 with Meteor missiles, from the old Revell kit with decals from the spares box.
Lastly, the Luftwaffe Typhoon is out of the box in the bright 'Richtofen' scheme, from the new Revell kit.
The Hasegawa kit goes together smoothly, but lacks details in some places (there are not many stencils in the original decals, and the seat is basic). The new Revell is a good compromise between price and quality, but I found the main gear to be fiddly, and it only has one decal option. The old Revell kit shows its age, with a poorly fitting canopy (replaced with a vacuform) and gaps at the wing roots, and is generally over-engineered.
In conclusion I would choose the Hasegawa kit if cost is not a consideration, otherwise the new Revell kit with some aftermarket decals.
