USAF Bell Huey UH-1F
1st SOW, 20th SOG "Green Hornets"

A kitbash of the 1/48 Monogram UH-1C Huey Hog and the Italeri UH-1D Slick will be used to build a plausible UH-1F model in SEA camo paint as used by the USAF 20th SOG in Vietnam era. The C model cabin will be used with the D model rotor assembly, and some surgery to join the two tail booms to extend it to the prototype dimensions. Engine exhaust will need to be scratch-built to resemble the side vented exhaust pipe and lengthened engine cowlings. Two M134 mini-guns will be mounted on each side, with 7-round 2.75 FFR pods on either side. Since the Green Hornet's missions took them into foreign territory, the aircraft they used had minimal exterior markings, usually only the tail number (black) and the Green Hornet emblem on either side of the tail boom.
