Whippet Mk 1A
Another British Tank... Quick and fun

Wanted something with a low part count and easy to build whilst enduring the hand painted chipping on the Crusader... Gotta say I wasn't expecting something as fast as Meng's Whippet... Literally you can have this together over a couple of 2hr sessions...
Build is a little more complicated than I thought... Long edge mitres to form the upper hull region is a bit of a worry... Misalignment can occur and cement can pour outta the joints leading to messy edges and finger prints if youre not careful...
Best to build this region up using the roof to keep the correct angles to the mating vertical panels... Bonded the upper hull to the lower hull bit by bit using cramps to pull things up tight... Can be a bit gappy here and there once completed but nothing a little diluted tamiya putty shouldn't fix...

Not a bad kit for the money... First Meng kit... Looking forward to following Andy Moore's beautiful paint job in the latest Modelling Weekly Articles...
