Personal interest:
This model represents the F-16C Fighting Falcon Block 30 aircraft flown by the USAF and ANG in 1996. The F-16C was an excellent multi-role aircraft and was often assigned CAP missions to enforce the no-fly zone. Many USAF and Air National Guard units rotated in and out of the theater during Operation Southern Watch. I selected a F-16C of the 175th FS from Sioux Falls, South Dakota out because of my childhood affinity for the unit, when they frequently flew A-7D aircraft over my family home.
