Oh, I see a printed barrell. Will this be another GuP project or do you plan to make a historic BT-42?

Thanks. I'm going to do it for GuP, but I don't even have decals for it yet😬. So, the end result will not be soon.

That engine is stunning! I've had my eye on this kit for a long time. Love to hear your thoughts on it when you're done

Kit is absolutely fantastic. parts so nicely fits together ... minimum sanding work no issues with clear parts fitting (although clear plastic is a bit soft in my opinion, so requires extra care).. detailing is amazing, (almost 450 parts plus I've used several photoetched sets mostly for interior, which added more realism), very thin and crisp panel lines and rivets - ... model is almost finished, so I can surely recommend it ... several words about the engine - it is very detailed and can be done with a great level of realism., so it could easily be treated as a separate model kit 🙂

Very nice texturing and weld marks on this Soviet beast. The photo etch details is a nice touch.

Thank you, Mate! This photo etch is selfmade from 0.2mm brass plate ))) I need to buy the photo etch bender, to make it better. ))

I consider myself lucky to get the headlights on a 1/16 car looking good. This is incredible stuff, Kent.

WOW! Great detail that provides inspiration for those of us that haven't stepped into the deep end yet. Looking forward to what's next.

I don't know how you do that every time, but it always seems like you are able to shrink the real model... outstanding work so far...

Very nice result. 👍 Are the engines and flaps & slots from LACI or from scratch?

Like the plane and the livery you are going for.
My two cents on one or two aspects: I found the brass undercarrige and the cockpit section you listed as aftermarket pretty useless. The undercarriage doesn´t solve the problem to ease the alignment of the landing gear and the cockpit section doesn´t provide any better detail than the kit parts. I set both aside and rescribed the soft outlines of the cockpit doors. Pouring transparent resin into the cabin windows gave a nice flush appearance. You may consider that.
Good luck with your build. I will follow with keen interest.

Thanks Michael and Nicolas. As my second kit to build, I thought I spice it up a bit with some aftermarket stuff, indeed, the new cabin with the new windows gave me some head scratching as to how install it, then figured it eventually out. My alignment looks a bit messy and I hope u can make it look aligned with putty etc… so far my opinion as an inexperienced builder is that you could safely leave it stock, as is….
I did not come yet to the brass parts and hope it will be better with these parts. Let's see 🙂

I am happy to take a seat! I personally find red liveries extremely difficult to pull off, so I am watching with great interest!

Following this challenge.
The Aerocraft cockpit will require a lot of sanding, but the original windshield is definitely too narrow - been there, done that 🙂
