Sy BarTo add detail to cockpit I used the new "Real Colors Markers" they work well with great coverage and so far the "brush" tip makes the job easy and natural

Sy BarThe instruction in step 16 confused me for awhile. I got the cutout bit (seams the large extra fuel tanks interfered with the flaps!) but it took some time to workout the fill instructions.
It's only when you put the newly clipped flaps on you see the gap left on the wing, creating too much drag and the fill becomes obvious 🤪

These markers look interesting, can you write something more? Are these acrylic paint? Can you do the washing afterwards?
Ps. Lucky you, dunno why these kits are so hard to get.

#Gliński I believe the pens are an acrylic by AK ineteractive, they go down really well on primed and unprimed plastic. You can once dry, which they do very quickly, you can use washes oils and enamel thinners.

Mr DI struggled to find a good white paint that had strong pigment n didn't need loads of coats, l tried different brands...Velejo, Mig, eventually l got AK Intense white " Amazing" 2x light coats n a brilliant strong white finish.
Im finding my Velejo yellow is bit poor in coverage.... So lve just ordered the Ak intense yellow, it's great paint and goes a long way as it's thick and can be thinned down alot. Recommend paint.

Mr DI don't think the life expectancy was very long for the pilots of Comet!!
They had to glide in once fuel had ran out.

Ben SThanks all for the comments. They actually had to remove the rocket engine to fit the second cockpit, so this was intended to be towed up to altitude for pilots to practice landings under glide. Never made it into service though, as they moved away from the Komet program before testing was finished/production started.

Yes l just get cheap ones of eBay, the do different sizes, you can pull ends n spring out for barrel look, or file ends last to have a recoil cannon look.
The gun turret nearly there now....lots of sanding n filling low spot.

Thanks for your interest. Nice to know you had it too, l built X3 the Tu airliner and the bomber. But this was my favourite as l liked the shape and that it had floats n guns.
Got part of tail on this evening.
