Welcome, mates! @Mr D Those holes I opened and then filled are auxiliary air doors that seems to be open always when the plane is on the ground.

The deck wire is ez line my 1st experience with it ( that stuff is awesome!)
Conning tower is brass 1/200 railing ( from timos-modelworld)

Ypu know most builds are of the gato 212 i wanted to pay homage to those that gave ultimate sacrifice i never heard of the albacore befor found it researching she hit a mine and lost with all hands. But on that same patrol she sunk a carrier. So anyway i had the numbers they are out of scale and in actuality would not be on the bow during patrol but they tie the kit to the nameplate. For me when the styrene scales tip they tip on the side of artistic lucsense ( lol).
Anyway thats how that came to be. I wanted something different.
