My Eduard De-De Stress Build.
Stuff done.
Stuff done, too.
Major construction done.
Some distressing to be done. MMMMWWWHHHAAAAHHHHAAAA!!!!!
Cast texture added, using Mr Surfacer 1200.
All primed and ready. Used the 3G Dunkelgelb on the Sherman to see if it gives the base coat a slightly warmer tone.
Noodling with the airbrush done.
Ready for Gloss and Decals.
Decals applied, some cleaning up where they were applied though.
Some weathering started.
Track's on. Next thing is to pin to the runners, to get the track sag.
Sag sorted.
Still shiny though.
Dulled down with VMS Varnish, more weathering to come.
The Commander and stowage started too.
Some stowage and the 50 cal done.
Commander done too, just a dry brush and Matt varnish to do.

Aye up. It's Mr Surfacer 1200, applied in a thin layer, then stippled it is quick drying, so work it immediately after applying your first layer or give it a few seconds then stipple, depending on how rough you want your cast texture, then sand to please. A you tuber called Jason Champion of Champion Scale Modeling exhibited it on a Churchill build. Thanks for the like too.

Amazing how much progress can be made after switching from the frustrating builds!

I agree mate, the whole point is enjoying the model and applying your skills (what skills? 🤣) Not a Major construction project. Is it not why we took up this hobby, enjoyment.

Along with the Tomahawk this was my de stress build. The idea was to build in tandem with Eduardargh! kit's (started in late November) when they got to much, I would dip into these two builds, because you can't beat a bit of armour for straightforward construction or WW2 Aircraft for that matter. Oh well, that plan hit the buffers. These are my main builds.
