Found this gem Matchbox/Revell (1) cleaning out some old boxes. Started this build in 1994! All pieces seems to be there.

I like the planes from the early days of the jet era. It is interesting and informative to recall what the predecessors of today's modern machines looked like.

I wish you a successful Tunnan build! I'll be happy to follow its development. 👀

Thanks Nicolas & Ludivik for your comments and intrest.
Some wise man said: "It looks like a flying barrel (Tunnan) on the ground but is like a swallow in the air"

In my early childhood, I attempted to construct a model of a "Tunnan" aircraft from wood, using drawings from a Russian magazine titled "Modeler-Constructor". This project remains dear to my heart and I will continue to follow in progress with interest.

Thanks Duster_D & Cuajete for your intrest & kind comments.
@Cuajete - That great to hear! Looking forward to see your progress.
The "Kongo" version will pose some work as the J29B didn't have the updated wing profile with the adoption of a 'sawtooth' wing leading edge and wing fences. So I will need to clean-up the wings.

Thanks Thomas, my projects usually tends to involve a lot more work than planned in the beginning as the ambition level increases over time.😂
In comparison the Heller kit is far more better regarding the details. Will alter the wings on the Matchbox kit for the correct J29B version and rescribe them at the same time. Havn't decided yet if I will do a full panel rescribe on the Heller kit or stay on with the old kit charm regarding raised panel lines. Stay tuned!

@J35J, I plan to build the Congo Tunnan with the Tarangus TA7201 kit, since it doesn't have the wing profile with the adoption of a 'sawtooth' wing leading edge or wing fences, but I don't know when I'll do it yet.

You have some hard work ahead of you, but I'm sure the result will be worth it 🙂 👍
