F-16C "Buzzard one" over the Balkans

The kits being used, the old F-16 from Hasegawa, the Aires-Cockpit and some weapon sets. And the excellent decal-sheet! 

Bangseat with first photoetch 

 

The kit has still the old wingtip rails mouldetd, but replacement parts are included in the newer versions of the kit 

Cockpit after priming. Looks nice, curious how it will look like after painting.  

 

 

Some washing to do, but so far, it looks OK to me!  

 

Entry is not very shallow, a weak point of the hasegawa kit 

I used some sheet to model the interior 

 

The blurred black spot simulates the depth of the intake 

 

Looks better now! 

 

 

 

 

Possible ordnance, the GBU-10 or GBU-24, both were used.  

 

 

 

The Revell colour is too light. The Tamiya beside looks darker (and more accurate) 

 

Exhaust needs some improvement too, I just added some sheet parts.  

Drybrushing with light brown and white over a dark grey priming.  

 

 

Decals went on nicely, bit some silvering is still there, even though I used setting solution.  

 

 

Some light brown oil colour over a metallic stainless steel from Gunze,  

 

 

 

 

 

The back part was a bit too dark, I had to correct it afterwards with Vallejo FS36270
