You could try pinning the rear elevator with small brass pins, that's what I do when I have some piece that keeps coming off.

Thanks for the idea, Ben. I won't touch this model again (unless for throwing it in the trash) but will probably need it for the next wobbly WW2 Revell build.

Thanks, Ben! I do like the look of the final model despite some shortcomings. It looks better in real life than on the closeup photos, perhaps on behalf of my poor eyesight 😉 I still believe Revell could have avoided some of the flimsy bits. The Tamiya Bf109G will be one of my next builds and it will be interesting to see the differences between those kits.

Album info

This Messerschmitt is a fickle beast: Several parts just kept breaking off, such as the rear left elevator which I had to glue on four times. The landing gear is also very wobbly and I won't glue them this way for the Spitfire.
