My first ever PE parts added - I prefer plastic parts as they're easier to fix and the PE is testing my eyesight!

I've now just about finished the turret, apart from the mantlet cover. I'm impressed with the level of detail and the amount of parts. The upgrade armour fits perfectly although the stowage baskets take some work to get a good fit - I needed to trim them to get them to fit snug.

Hi Mick - it's quite sleek for an armoured car, perhaps I should paint it red and stick a Ferrari badge on the front! Hopefully it's well glued, nothing has dropped off yet!

Thanks George, I've just finished applying the transfers and am just looking at Prime Portal to check if I've missed anything and for some weathering inspiration. I'll put some more progress photos on next week. It's a shame the kit doesn't include any modern Italian figures as it could do with some for scale as it's quite a large vehicle.

Mick - I don't like to rush things! Yamato is currently in dry dock on the shelf. I've still got to do the aircraft, rigging and repair the propellers but as I started the Centauro first, thought I'd better rap that one up!

Fair enough! What do they say - model in haste - repent at liesure! You got a good boat there so yes finish it properly. Thanks for the Storch comments BTW.

Centauro nearing completion now, just need to add a little rust, the aerials and some luggage. I'm quite pleased with the 'IFOR' logos (I used Microsol/Microset) but less so with the mantlet cover - I wish I'd fixed the gun and applied some filler as there's a gap under the cover.

Thanks for feedback guys, I've really enjoyed doing this one - it's a good kit. I won't be so afraid of PE from now on!
